Hatia: On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, Astitva Foundation distributed flattened rice (chooda), jaggery (gur), curd, and sesame sweets (tilkut) among the underprivileged near Hatia Railway Station on January 14.
The event was organized with the aim of helping the needy and spreading festive cheer.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Kirti Srivastava Maji, the head of the foundation, said, “Our foundation is always ready to help the poor and the needy. Such initiatives will continue in the future as well.”
She further added that the true joy of festivals lies in including all sections of society. Volunteers from the foundation actively participated in the event, distributing food items to around 500 people in need.
Local residents appreciated the initiative and said such programs send a message of unity and harmony in society. Astitva Foundation has pledged to continue conducting similar social welfare activities in the future.
The event was made successful with the support of local volunteers and officials from the railway station.
